Hello and welcome!
I am a Chicago based actor, writer, comedian, and educator born and raised in Iowa. I studied Theatre Arts at the University of Iowa where I concentrated in acting and playwriting, wrote and directed two original plays, and surprised myself by getting really into standup. I made the move to Chicago shortly after graduation and studied sketch and improvisation at The Second City Conservatory. I am currently performing in Sketch Playlist at IO Theater, with my beloved sketch group Communal Beverage, as an actor with Playground Chicago, and I was most recently seen in The Grown-Ups with Lady Dog Theatre Company where I am a Co-Founder. LDTC is a female-run collective prioritizing opportunities for early career artists, and we are now in our third year as a company. We produced the U.S. premiere of Zoo by Lily Bevan and the Chicago premiere of The Grown-Ups by Simon Henriques and Skylar Fox. As an actor I am interested in new work, complicated relationship dynamics, the most emotionally devastating scene you’ve ever written, and any opportunity to make an audience laugh. Outside of performing I am a teaching artist and assistant preschool teacher. I love being silly and I really love writing on whiteboards. My resume, and more importantly dream roles, can be found below.
